Making an Application

Overview

The Country Arts Support Program (CASP) is an annual small grants program funded by Create NSW and managed by Regional Arts Development Organisations. It is guided by the ACFP’s three major objectives: 

  • Grow creative leadership and programming excellence in NSW
  • Strengthen NSW arts and cultural activity that drives community and social benefits
  • Showcase NSW as a leader for strategic arts and cultural governance and strong financial management

Objectives

In the New England North West, Arts North West is offering grants of up to $3,000 for arts community groups and arts organisations to support their creative endeavour.

The grant program aims to support community arts and cultural development by:

  • assisting locally determined community arts and cultural activities
  • increasing opportunities for regionally based groups to access a diverse range of arts programs
  • enabling communities to explore and express their cultural identities
  • bringing social and economic benefits to the community through training, employment and promotional opportunities
  • building greater awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity
  • increasing the sustainability and resilience of regionally based community arts organisations

Eligible Activities

Designed to support the continuation of locally determined community arts and cultural practice in uncertain times, this funding aims to be as flexible as possible. Arts North West will consider a wide range of requests but they do require a public outcome.

This funding will not support.

  • Competitions, Awards, Prizes, Judging
  • Fundraising events.
  • General operating expenses or ongoing costs of long-term continuous projects.
  • Projects that have commenced or are completed.
  • Activities which could be considered part of the curriculum for schools or tertiary institutions.
  • Non-arts related activities.

Opening date

Applications open: 9.00am 14 July 2025 AEST.

Closing date

Applications close: 5.00pm 25 August 2025  AEST.

Grants of up to $3000

Timing

Projects are to take place between 1 October 2025 - 1 July 2026
