Is your group First Nations-led with a majority of First Nations members?
This means at least 51% of your group members identify as First Nations.

Is your organisation First Nations led and has it been operating in NSW for at least the past 12 months? * Required
This means the board of management and senior leadership must have a majority of at least 51% First Nations members.

To be eligible, organisations must be one of the following legal entity types:

  • a company incorporated in Australia
  • a company incorporated by guarantee
  • an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust
  • an incorporated association
  • a partnership
  • a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation
  • an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation.

Does the applicant have an Australian Business Number (ABN)? * Required

You are not eligible to apply if you are:

  • Insolvent
  • an individual who is bankrupt
  • a Commonwealth, state, territory or local government agency or body, including state cultural institutions
  • schools or educational institutions (including preschools, primary, secondary schools and tertiary education providers)
  • seeking funding related to filmmaking, screen production, mainstream animation or film festivals (funding programs for these areas are managed by Screen NSW)
  • seeking funding related to contemporary music (please refer to the glossary for this definition). For more information on this, you should contact Sound NSW)
  • are employed by Create NSW or were employed in the last 12 months.
